To comply with all federal and applied railway rules, laws, guidelines and standards and all TTR policies and procedures;
Communicate and issue operating authorities;
Enter data on the train sheet and other devices;
Operate the interlocking controlling track usage and signal display;
Answer calls from various people over the telephone or radio;
Understand, plan and coordinate the movement of trains, engines, track units, and work programs, respecting current traffic priorities when performing control functions to minimize delays to important or time-sensitive traffic;
Ensure the safe and effective movement of trains over their assigned territory;
Attends safety training and participates in on-going training related to the position;
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which can include working various days, hours and shifts; including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays;
