Deltaport is Port Metro Vancouver’s largest container terminal, where over 65% of all container traffic is shipped by rail. The terminal is designed to handle the largest container ships afloat and features dual-hoist gantry cranes. TTR currently manages the track maintenance for the rail segments of the port operation for both CN and CP.
As part of the contract, TTR is responsible for conducting all track inspection for the port to ensure the safe movement of shipping goods from the port to the rest of the country. Following the inspection services, TTR provides all basic maintenance services including, but not limited to; changing rail changing ballast, adjusting switch points, lubricating switches, and regulation of all track requirements.
